9:00 AM - Arrival & Morning Check-In

Participants are welcomed by staff and supported with:

  • Morning greetings & wellness check
  • Review of the day's schedule
  • Organization of personal items
  • Light social warm-up activities

Staff complete attendance and any required notes frmo families.

9:15 AM - Morning Group Warm-Up

To prepare for the day, we begin with:

  • Mindfulness
  • Deep breathing
  • Gentle stretching
  • Group discussion ("How are we feeling today?")

This promotes emotional regulation and sets a positive tone.

10:00 AM - Social Recreation Block 1

Activities rotate daily. Examples include:

Cooking & Kitchen Skills

  • Learning simple recipes
  • Practicing safe cutting measuring
  • Making snacks or preparing group meals
  • Understanding nutrition

Arts & Crafts

  • Painting
  • Seasonal projects
  • Sensory art
  • Creative expression activities

These activities promote fine motor skills, creativity, and social engagement.

11:00 AM - Kibu Lesson: Independent Living Skills

Participants engage in guided Kibu digital lessons focused on:

  • Budgeting
  • Safety skills
  • Communication
  • Emotional awareness
  • Hygiene & self-care
  • Daily living routines

12:00 PM - Lunch & Social Time

Participants enjoy their lunch brought from home.

Staff support:

  • Meal independence
  • Safe eating practices
  • Social conversation
  • Relaxation period

This is also a time for building friendships and communication skills.

12:45 PM - Tai Chi / Movement Therapy

Led by our Tai Chi Master specializing in:

  • Body awareness
  • Emotional control
  • Stress management
  • Balance and coordination
  • Mind–body connection

This session helps participants calm their bodies and minds while learning movement sequences.

1:30 PM - Social Recreation Block 2

A second structured activity block, which may include:

  • Music and rhythm activities
  • Group games (cognitive & social)
  • Movie and discussion
  • Journaling or communication practice
  • Hands-on projects

Each day varies to keep engagement high and match participants’ goals.

2:40 PM - Clean-Up & Closing Circle

Participants practice responsibility and independence by helping tidy their work areas

Closing circle includes:

  • What went well today
  • What we learned
  • Emotional check-out
  • Preview of tomorrow’s activities

3:00 PM - Dismissal

Participants are checked out safely through:

  • Family pick-up
  • Caregiver pick-up
  • Transportation support (if applicable)

Staff complete all daily documentation before shift end.
